Dragon Design Motifs

Design motifs are an important part of cultures, representing their way of life, religion and a telling of their story. What would dragons put on their banners, carve onto their walls and floors? What stories would they tell with their designs, how would they tell it? These are early designs for various dragon motifs that would inspire designs for their armor, architecture, props and even their written language.

The titan watcher Tyr aided the dragons to defeat Galakrond and became an important heroic figure who empowered the original dragon aspects and brought the teachings of the titans to them.

In order to make their culture believable, they would need a language.  What if they composed their glyphs like a music note arrangement, compositions that can ignite magic.

Many of these motifs were inspired by designs in the Nexus and it was fun to reference the rich history of Warcraft.  Fun fact, I did the textures and design patterns for the Nexus dungeon back in the day so it was amazing to revisit in a different way.
