Concepts for ELDEGARDE (formerly Legacy: Steel & Sorcery), a mini-MMO Action RPG from Notorious Studios.

It has been an amazing experience working at Notorious Studios. I had the opportunity to work with many great and talented individuals. To be able to work on an original game and IP, and from the start of a project is a rare thing and I am thankful to be part of something special.

These are concepts for the Paladin castle kit and farm houses used in the Greenwood zone. With a small team size, we needed to create a castle kit that could be used in many areas, without going over budget. Our plan from the beginning was to create a modular kit that gave the Level Design team flexibility in how spaces were built. We had to work smartly and re-use assets in creative ways to get the most of every piece.

Eric Braddock helped write much of the lore for this area, and many of the motif designs were inspired by his and Cole Eastburn's work on the Paladins. Aaron Hammon and Nace Jolovan did an amazing job with the 3d assets of this kit. Also, our Level Design team, Tech Art and Lighting Art helped contribute to the fantastic hand-crafted world of Eldegarde.
